One night I couldn't get any sleep and then the sun came out and someone on twitter tweeted "Pen a poem, shall we?", I replied with a "who starts?", she said, "you go." This is what we came up with in our alternating tweets.
Pen a poem, shall we?
Look beyond the darkness to see the light,
the duality will stun you with all it's might!
Its the light that blindens sight,
see not what it shows but on what it shines
Find a sky so full of stars, with all that iridescent magic up there,
no darkness can blind your eye.
Find the beauty oh! beautiful one, don't you fear.
These eyes are to admire the world, lest you shed a tear.
These eyes see beauty, these eyes see pain.
Of hopeless desires that steal my fire. How do i not fear
Cherish the beauty, try to relieve their pain,
Shelter those desires but an upper hand they shouldnt gain.
Of dreams that are hidden, of desires crushed
What hope is there in world ridden of beauty
When it all seems too much to bear,you can't let go your fear,
Reflect upon that inward eye, your catharsis is there.
There's only so much you can do, but weak is not you,
it's just this one life to live and fight, you'll make it through.
